Reiner Knizia has two interesting mechanics that really give this game its bones. The "attract" rule guarantees a highly interactive game, and the end game scoring will make you pay extra attention to which types of insects you are collecting.

Pollen is a beautiful reimplementation of Reiner Knizia’s hidden gem Samurai: the Card Game. It has been a personal favorite of mine for years. It really shines with its new theme, showing that it is really a good game in its own right and can shed the "card game" moniker.
