Hold On Another Day (HOAD) is a for-profit, one for one company that creates Mix CDs for a cause. Songs For Soldiers is a 12-track compilation CD produced by HOAD featuring indie artists from cities across the US. HOAD is working with Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization that sends care packages to U.S. Military troops deployed overseas and Wounded Warriors recuperating at home. For every CD sold, Hold On Another Day will donate a CD to Opperation Gratitude, a non-profit that sends care packages to troops overseas. David Munn, an active marine station in Afghanistan, told Emily Smith of Hold On Another Day: "When I was serving overseas, I would received care packages with a lot of random items, like colorful clothing. It is great to know people care, but I couldn't wear any of the clothing while on duty. The items my buddies and I would get the most excited for were CDs, DVDs and Ramen noodles!" While Hold On Another Day cannot guarantee their mix tapes will help the emotional condition of soldiers or their loved ones, HOAD hopes to remind soldiers and their loved ones to Hold On Another Day. Hold On Another Day offers a unique opportunity to those looking to help a cause, by offering something in return. Additionally, HOAD works with undiscovered musicians to provide them with a new way to give back as well as an opportunity to gain exposure. Hold On Another Day is currently developing ideas for other cause-related mixes, such as: stress, depression/anxiety and healthy living. HOAD is open to new ideas and seeks to work with non-profits whose cause can be translated into music. Hold On Another Day believes that music is power - brighten someone's day with it.
