The Rough Guide to Music Without Frontiers

De uitdrukking muziek zonder grenzen wordt vaak gebruikt om fusion of cross-over te beschrijven. In dit geval wordt de term grens letterlijk genomen. De muziek van inheemse volkeren en minderheden die in bezette of niet-erkende gebieden leven, krijgt op deze Rough Guide alle aandacht. Een welkom thema in deze tijden van internationale grensoverschrijdingen. We horen muziek van o.a. Koerden, Roma, Corsicanen, Oeigoeren, en Palestijnen. De bonus-cd is van de Tibetaanse zangeres Namgyal Lhamo en eerder verschenen op ons eigen MW-label. De cd is geproduceerd in samenwerking met de Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO).
