De in New York gevestigde Sloveense saxofonist/componist Jan Kus presenteert zijn buitengewone nieuwe zevenkoppige band `Slavo Rican Assembly'. Hiermee wil hij de overeenkomsten en verschillen tussen de muziek van de Puertoricaanse en Zuid-Slavische culturen onderzoeken en deze samenvoegen tot een nieuw geluid. Met de jazz als springplank komen bomba, salsa en rumba samen met Sloveense oogstliedjes en Bosnische slaapliedjes in een muzikale cocktail die 100% New York is.
