Steve Tilston is een singer-songwriter, die al sinds de jaren `70 schitterende albums uitbrengt. Hij wordt geprezen door medemuzikanten (`A songwriter and guitarist I admire' - Bert Jansch) en pers (`His work simply gets better as time goes on' - MOJO), maar heeft nooit echt het grote publiek bereikt. Distant Days is een akoestisch retrospectief, waarop Tilston zijn favoriete eigen songs opnieuw bewerkt.
