Joys Abound

De dochter van slidegitarist Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya groeide op met muziek. Daarnaast erfde ze de prachtige stem van haar grootmoeder. Nu is Anandi Bhattacharya 22 en staat aan het begin van een schitterende carriÞre. Ze zingt folksongs uit Rajasthan en Bengalen, een fraai stuk van de dichter Rabindranath Tagore, maar ook composities van Debashish Bhattacharya. Ze wordt begeleid door o.a. haar vader op slidegitaar, oom Subhasis Bhattacharya op tabla en Carola Ortiz op klarinet. Aanrader!
