Just In Time: The Rarest Tony Perkins - 20 Unreleased Recordings On For The First Time

Here for the very first time is an unreleased album that Tony Perkins recorded with Shorty Rogers for RCA Victor in 1959. Long before he scared the world in "Psycho" as Anthony Perkins, he was Tony Perkins heartthrob. Signed as a rival to Warners' Tab Hunter, he recorded two albums and a few singles, as well as an earlier release on Epic. But this third album, filled with wonderful jazzy standards, never saw the light of day. Perhaps diminishing sales at the height of the rock and roll era prevented it's release, but it contains such great songs as "Change Partners," "Mountain Greenery," "Getting to Know You," "Limehouse Blues," and the title track. Included also are five rare recordings made in France, but never issued outside of that country. 20 rarities in Jasmine's great digital sound.
