Sting und Shaggy präsentieren ihr gemeinsames Studioalbum 44/876. Bei dem karibisch angehauchten Longplayer geht es den beiden Ikonen vor allem darum, ihre geteilte Liebe zu jamaikanischer Musik, dem sommerlichen Spirit, der Lebensfreude und zur ganzen Kultur der Karibikregion zu vertonen.


Bei ihrer Zusammenarbeit auf Jamaika und in NCY, erhielten die beiden Künstler u.a. Unterstützung von Robbie Shakespeare, Dwayne iLLwayno Shippy, Shane Hoosong, Machine Gun Funk, Patexx, Tyrantula sowie Stings Gitarrist Dominic Miller. Produziert wurden die Songs von Shaun Pizzonia, der zuvor schon für internationale Shaggy-Hits wie Boombastic oder It Wasn’t Me verantwortlich war.


44/876 ist physisch in folgenden Ausführungen erhältlich: Als Standardversion (12 Tracks), Deluxe-Version (16 Tracks), Super-Deluxe-Version (12 Tracks + Bonusdisc mit 5 weiteren Songs vom Live at Shaggy & Friends Konzert in Kingston, Jamaica + Cherrytree Radio Interview) und auf Vinyl (schwarze oder rote Vinyl mit 12 Songs).
