Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly (aka MGK) began making news in 2009 when he became the first rapper to win at amateur night at Harlem’s Apollo Theather. A series of mixtapes, including 100 Words and Running, Lace Up and Rage Pack came next followed by a 2011 performance at SXSW where he met with Sean Combs and signed to his Bad Boy imprint that night.The Black Flag mixtape arrived in 2013, featuring appearances by French Montana, Pusha T, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa, and Sleeping with Sirens' Kellin Quinn. In 2015 he released his sophomore effort, General Admission, a dark, autobiographical LP released under the full name of Machine Gun Kelly. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The first instant grat on this album will be ‘Trap Paris’ featuring Quavo & TY Dolla $ign.Machine Gun Kelly kicked off 2017 strong; he garnered his first #1 hit on pop radio with his Camila Cabello collaboration, “Bad Things” and amassed more than 230m+ streams globally with a radio audience of 145m and is now RIAA certified platinum and multi-platinum in the US .The single that followed which featured Hailee Steinfeld, ‘At My Best’ currently on 15.8m streams on Spotify and is still growing. The track has received a wealth of support on radio, streaming and press. Machine Gun Kelly continues to push the envelope to be the jack of all trades and diversify his creative portfolio with numerous projects outside of music. He currently holds a strong supporting role opposite of Vera Fermiga in the Rupert Wyatt-directed sci-fi film, Captive State (currently in production in Chicago). Other acting credits include the independent features Punks Dead, Nerve (with Dave Franco and Emma Roberts) and The Land (with Erykah Badu) in which he served as co-executive producer. He was also handpicked by famed writer/director Cameron Crowe for a regular role on the Showtime series “Roadies.”Machine Gun Kelly also signed with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, and closed out the John Varvatos Fall/Winter 2017 “Wild at Heart” presentation in the last and biggest men’s show of NYFW.
