25,000 music fans descended on Sydney's Domain to be part of a once in a lifetime experience - a huge concert and radio event where the very best Australian musicians assembled to perform incredible one off performances to celebrate 40 years of triple j. This 3 CD 'Live' CD is jam-packed with an incredible string of guest appearances and unforgettable cover songs which absolutely blew the crowd away. From Goyte, with his mesmerised "Hearts A Mess" Sarah Blasko and Paul Demspey performed a beautiful cover of Crowded House's 1993 hit "Distant Sun." Bernard Fanning led the crowd in a sing-a-long to Australian Crawl's classic hit "Reckless," alongside Vance Joy. Ball Park Music played an energetic version of the 1985 Hoodoo Gurus classic "Like Wow - Wipeout" with Hoodoo Guru's frontman, Dave Faulkner, himself. Another Australian music legend, Divinyls guitarist Mark McEntee, joined The Preatures on stage to play a cover of "Boys In Town" - with Izzy giving a shout out to the late great Chrissy Amphlett. One of the biggest surprises - and highlights - of the night goes to Daniel Johns' cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - the song that came in at #1 in triple j's Hottest 100 Of All Time and defined a whole generation. Relive the special moments from this huge concert experience celebrating 40 years of triple j on a huge 3CDs!
