Music For Cars will be released through Dirty Hit on Monday 4th March and follows in the footsteps of their two acclaimed EPs Facedown and Sex.The five-track EP swoons with the band’s signature hybrid sound of alternative rock, pop and R&B. Proving that this Mancunian four-piece is ever bold in pushing past sonic boundaries and are so much more than the sum of their parts. Opener Anobrain and tracks HNSCC and Heads. Cars. Bending bask in explosive murmurs of atmospheric sonic delights, while closer Me takes heart-breaking modern soul to new depths. But it’s for lead single track Chocolate to encompass The 1975’s pop swagger and vigour with its syncopated, propulsive beats and day-dreaming guitar riffs. A future alternative anthem in the making.
