Ramsey Lewis is one of the most-respected living keyboard players in jazz and related genre. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1935. He enjoyed huge jazz hits with three million-selling tunes during the 1960s: 'The In Crowd', 'Wade In The Water' and 'Hang On Sloopy', and continues to tour and record to this day. 1964's 'More Sounds Of Christmas' was the follow-up to 1961's successful 'Sounds Of Christmas'. The album mainly features Ramsey's trio: Ramsey on piano/celeste, El Dee Young on bass/cello and Steve McCall on drums, with occasional appearances by bassist Cleveland Eaton, drummer Isaac Holt and various string players.
