A life-long music enthusiast and champion of the arts, His Majesty has overseen, influenced, and been personally involved in the commissioning process and the detail of the music programme, which has showcased and celebrated musical talent from across the United Kingdom and further afield. The album features 12 brand new works commissioned by his Majesty the King. Including the coronation anthem 'Make a Joyful Noise' by Andrew Lloyd Webber & music from the 9th century to the present day. The deluxe 4CD set includes all the music in sequence, as heard on the day of the Coronation. The spoken word has been carefully edited out to cater for the best musical listening experience.
