It has been 40 years since the Kastelruther Spatzen released their first album "Viel Spaß und Freude" and even today the sparrows are passionate summit strikers in the music business. They are the most successful group on the folk music scene of all time. The fortieth anniversary makes the exceptional musicians from the beautiful South Tyrol finally an outstanding phenomenon. Especially in the fast-paced show business. For the 40th anniversary, the Kastelruther sparrows bring out a very personal album with "40 years - stories that write life" on 16.06.2023, which includes their most important songs and hits. It consists of two CDs and two LPs with a total of 40 hits that go on sale separately. The double CD includes 40 songs and the double LP 20 tracks. In addition to compiling their most personal songs, the sparrows have also recorded three brand new tracks for the new album for their fans. One of the new songs is a beautiful duet with the former founding member of the band Oswald Sattler. Band historically a truly historical title. But this is not all for the anniversary year. The sparrow fans can also look forward to a new studio album in the fall, which is now being recorded.
