Saint Julian

'Saint Julian' is the third solo album by English musician and ex-Teardrop Explodes frontman, Julian Cope. Released in 1987, it abandons the collapsing psychedelic styles of Cope's previous album 'Fried', in favour of a crisp, punchier and more structured sound. This new sound draws partially on Cope's professed love for Detroit heavy rock acts such as early Alice Cooper. 'Julian Cope' features two UK top 40 hit singles: 'World Shut Your Mouth' and 'Trampolene'.
