In 2022, Michel Legrand would have been 90 years old. Composer, conductor, pianist, singer, stage director: Michel broke down the barriers between jazz, symphonic music, musical comedy and popular music. This anthology, entitled 'Hier et demain' ('Yesterday and tomorrow'), tells us about his destiny and, even better, creates a future for it. The set opens with a CD of contemporary remakes and new readings of Legrand - including previously unreleased tracks - by performers such as Thomas Dutronc, Joe Hisaishi, Natalie Dessay, Clara Luciani, Juliette Armanet and many others. CDs 2-5 are themed and showcase essential tracks by Legrand: vocal, jazz, instrumental music and (very) original scores. Several tracks new to CD enrich the programme.
