Celestial Ascension

"Celestial Ascension" is the debut full-length album by As Bright As The Stars, following the project's 2019 split release with Lament (Twilight Rain / Pest Productions). The album contains seven tracks exploring themes of spirituality and transcendence. Rooted in the ethereal, melancholic atmospheres typical of the genre, the album unfolds as a true astral journey, leaving behind stark earthly darkness to embrace the vastness of the cosmos. The mind behind the project succeeds in channeling isolation into a universal expressive force, transforming reverb-drenched riffs and melodic passages into sonic constellations that guide the listener through the void of space. The album leaves a profound mark, thanks to its ability to transmute the pain and anger into a form of pure, almost sacred sonic beauty. Harsh, violent but also shiny, cathartic and gentle.
