Italian Piano Works vol. II" è naturale continuazione di "Italian Piano Works" pubblicato nel 2017 da Sony Classical e si concentra su tre compositori emblematici di un periodo storico ben definito: Gian Francesco Malipiero, Ottorino Respighi e Alfredo Casella, tutti facenti parte della cosiddetta "Generazione dell' '80".

La musica riflette influenze che vanno dai canti gregoriani alle prime basi del jazz, a seconda del campo in cui queste grandi menti creative hanno scelto di studiare e approfondire durante periodi diversi delle loro vite con atmosfere diverse, offrendo sorprese dinamiche per l'ascoltatore senza cadere in stili ripetitivi.

Come bonus track un sentito tributo a Ezio Bosso, scomparso prematuramente, con la delicata composizione "Emily's Room: Sweet and Bitter.
