The Cologne Krautjazz band C.A.R. has been around for ten years. A good occasion to go to the studio with old and new friends and friends. The "psychedelic four" (Die Zeit) invited the singer Pegelia Gold, the synthesizer veteran Max Loderbauer and the percussionist and thousand trades Niklas Wandt to joint sessions at the Candy Bomber Studio in Berlin-Tempelhof to simply record on it. The chemistry was right and came out is an album in which guests can set their individual fragrance marks in the band sound of C.A.R., which acts as a clip and sometimes captures spherically velvety and sometimes crazy-edged passages. Thus, an arc is stretched from the ambient pop in "A Signal From a Mouth" with breathed vocal passages of Pegelia Gold to the percussive nesting in "Major Step In Your Career", which is not accidentally reminiscent of the weirdness of Niklas Wandt's solo productions, to the cosmic research strips with Max Loderbauer, as in "Os". aka highway" with its Stream of Consciousness-like collective improvisational world. The band seems to have succeeded the first round birthday party, it toasts the next ten years with filter coffee cups and whiskey tumblers.
