IP phones and analog terminal adapters (ATAs) require a network connection. LAN cabling in the office or at home can be expensive if it is not already wired. Wi-Fi networks can be found virtually anywhere. The Poly USB Wi-Fi adapter allows you to connect to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network with USB-equipped VoIP adapters or VVX phones (models with USB ports). With the Poly Wi-Fi adapter, you can place your VVX phones or VoIP adapters anywhere within reach of your Wi-Fi network. Tip for use: If you use the WiFi adapter to connect your phone or VoIP adapter, these devices are usually powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE). So if you are not connected to a wired LAN with PoE and use the USB Wi-Fi accessory instead, don't forget to order the appropriate power adapter as well.
