Chantal Goya, avant sa brillante carrière d’artiste pour le jeune public, a enregistré une vingtaine de chansons pop entre 1964 et 1967.
En 1964, de retour de Londres où elle termine ses études de journalisme, Chantal Goya rencontre Daniel Fillipachi grâce à J.J Debout.
Fillipachi lui propose alors un essai sur une chanson et JJ Debout écrit « C’est bien Bernard », la première des 20 chansons
Mickey Baker, grand guitariste américain, et sa femme Barbara Baker sont choisis pour assurer la direction artistique et les arrangements.
1965 : Jean Luc Godard après avoir vu Chantal à la télé lui propose un rôle dans son prochain film « Masculin Féminin » et y inclut plusieurs chansons. Chantal tourne avec Marlène Jobert et Jean Pierre Léaud et le film sort en juin 1966. Elle remporte même le prix d’interprétation du Festival de Naples cette même année.
« Tu m’as trop menti » sera prochainement synchronisé dans un film américain….très attendu.
