Mitch Miller's life was shaped by music. As a musician, he had a very good feeling for hits. He started his professional career as music director at Mercury Records, where he successfully signed artists such as Guy Mitchel, Johnnie Ray and others and sold millions of records. In the USA, his own successful career as a musician began in the early 50s. His success even spilled over to Europe. With his “March from the River Kwai” and “Colonel Bogey” from the film "The Bridge on the River Kwai", he reached number one in Germany and was awarded the Golden Record for them. Other classics such as "The Yellow Rose Of Texas", "Don't Fence Me In", "By The Light Of The Silvery Moon", "My Darling Clementine", "You Are My Sunshine" and many more are included on this double CD. A must for fans of the 50s.
