Marlene Dietrich was an exceptional and impressive character. As one of the few German-speaking female artists of the 20th century who were internationally successful, she became known as an actress and style icon. She began her singing career in the 1950s. Marlene Dietrich refused to support the Nazi propaganda in Germany. She became an American citizen and supported the US soldiers with her songs. "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt", "Lili Marleen" and "Ich hab' noch einen Koffer in Berlin" are among her most famous songs. This double CD includes not only German-language songs, but also some of her songs in English.
