Three Quartets

Nadat er in 1997 de ziekte van Parkinson werd geconstateerd is de Britse saxofoniste Barbara Thompson zich meer gaan toeleggen op het ontwikkelen van haar (klassieke) compositorische kwaliteiten. Deze drie kwartetten voor saxofoon, zeer levendig uitgevoerd door the Apollo Saxophone Quartet, zijn daar o.a. het resultaat van. Prachtige composities met invloeden uit de jazz (Coltrane) en de minimal music.
