In 1965 Popular produced its rst musical special dedicated to Puerto Rican composer Rafael Hernández, as part of the celebration of the inauguration of its new headquarters, Popular Center, located in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. In 1993, and as a part of Banco Popular's centennial celebration, the nancial institution once again began its tradition of making musical productions, this time on an annual basis. Known as the Popular Musical Special, this project is a gift that the largest banking institution in Puerto Rico oers to its public to perpetuate, in a CD and DVD format, the musical traditions and stories of situations in Puerto Rico and Latin America. This collection has featured local and international artists such as Tommy Torres, Olga Tañón, Pedro Capó, Rubén Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, Lucecita Benítez, Kany García, Ozuna and Bad Bunny, among others. In addition to promoting traditions, the musical specials serve as a platform to support, through its sales, the organizations and schools with musical programs supported by the Banco Popular Foundation. Popular's new musical production "Más que 30" celebrates three decades of uninterrupted yearly productions. This production also projects, through interviews, visuals, and interpretations, those songs that transcended time through this project. The artists that grace this production with their talent are: Joe Louis, Claire Delić, Manny Manuel, Los Pleneros de la Cresta, RaiNao, Gisselle, Andy Montañez, Plenéalo, Young Miko, Manolo Ramos, Cheryl Rivera, Kany García, José García, José Nogueras, Luis Vázquez, Mónika Nieves, Ricky Villanueva, Christian Nieves, Eladio Carrión, Víctor Manuelle, Antoinette Rodríguez, Chabela Rodríguez, Charlie Sepúlveda, Seba Otero, William Otero, William Cepeda and the San Juan Children's Choir, and the "100x35" Program.
