This DVD box covers the Kamchatka region and one of the most interesting and at the same time rarest animals of Russia, the Amur leopard.

Welcome to Kamchatka Peninsula: a world full of wonders. In the Valley of Geysers, the dazzling eruptions and smoke swaths of the hot, wafting steam amaze you. The more than one hundred volcanoes of Kamchatka inspire the senses: you feel the bottom of the caldera of the volcano Uson pulsates under you, while on the slopes of the Kljuchevskaya Sopka almost the heart stops when you consider that at any moment glowing hot lava could spit out of the crater.
Below this backdrop you can experience the grandeur of Kamchatka's primeval forests along the mountain rivers and with a little luck catch a glimpse of the brown bears Kamchatka, which are among the largest of their genus. Later you reach the coasts of Kamchatka, dotted with black sand of volcanic origin: the coast of the Pacific Ocean that connects both poles of our planet.
The Amur Leopard is one of the rarest animals in the world - only 50 of them live in the far east of Russia. Kedrovka, a leopard female, is one of them. Our cameras tracked Kedrovka continuously for a year. She hunted, gave birth to baby leopards and disappeared into the dense forest before returning home.
See how Kedrovka defended her territory from strangers. In this documentary, amur leopards living in wilderness were first photographed by a camera.
