Alvin, Simon and Theodore have made their triumphant return to television this summer with their series ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks. Created by Janice Karman, the show is seen by millions each week on Nickelodeon. And now, the #1 selling group in the history of children's music is back. All of the album's 13 original songs are featured in the new CGI-animated series on Nickelodeon, including the leadoff track and series theme song, "We're The Chipmunks." The anthem will be familiar to many listeners as it originally debuted as the theme to Alvin & The Chipmunks" the Emmy®-nominated Saturday morning animated series that aired on NBC from 1983 to 1991. That series also introduced the world to The Chipettes: sisters Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor. The sassy trio joins the boys for several tracks on We're The Chipmunks. Together, they take on styles ranging from pop, indie rock, Latin, soul, and hip-hop.
