Bevor dieses offizielle Livealbum 1978 erschien, kursierten unter Liebha- bern zum Teil ausgezeichnet klingende Raubmitschnitte, auf denen Little Feat ihre superbe Bühnenvirtuosität unter Beweis stellten. "Waiting For Columbus" macht da keine Ausnahme: Auch hier gewinnen die meisten Songs, insbesondere die aus dem frühen Bandrepertoire, erheblich an Charakter und Dynamik. Die CD ist klanglich klar besser als die deutsche LP-Version, aber "Join The Band" und "Spanish Moon" wurden um 25 beziehungsweise 7 Sekunden gekürzt, während "Don't Bogart That Joint" und "A Apolitical Blues" auf der "Last Record Album"-CD Unterschlupf fanden.
