Fearlessly interweaving R&B, 80's synth pop, jazz and indie, the group's unique stylings are the result of production and arrangements by Julian Kaufman and Charlie Kilgore, with singers Jamee Lockard, Layla Ku, Sofia D'Angelo, and Emma Lee. Churning out illustrative, powerful lyrics and primary-colored harmonies with aplomb, Michelle is refreshingly predominated by queer and POC members, and their sound provides a snapshot of summer days and nights in New York City - immediately recognizable to those who've lived them (and those that have wished to).
