Tenor saxophonist Keith Oxman teams up with renowned bassoonist Frank Morelli for the Ox-Mo Incident. Backed by a phenomenal trio of Jeff Jenkins on piano, Ken Walker on bass and Todd Reid on drums, Oxman and Morelli bridge the gap between jazz and classical music. While Morelli is well established as a soloist in the classical world, having made dozens of recordings in that idiom, he has also performed with jazz greats Thad Jones, Wayne Shorter, Terrance Blanchard and others. These musicians devoted themselves to this recording to make it what it is, a swinging jazz album with great arrangements and compositions. The bond they established can be heard in every note.
