Mike Jones' second trio release for Capri is a swinging recasting of standards popular in the 1920's, thus the title 'Roaring'. Jones teams up with the marvelous rhythm team of Katie Thiroux on bass and Matt Witek on drums for this delightful excursion. David Silverman of Simpsons fame rendered the John Held Jr. Influenced cover and renowned fiction writer Neal Gaiman penned the liner notes. Many may have heard Mike Jones play in Las Vegas with Penn and Teller at the Rio as he has been their pianist and music director for the last 15 years.
