The Time Inside a Year

Dave McDonnell is een componist/saxofonist uit Chicago. Hij geeft les in o.a. compositie en saxofoon aan het conservatorium en is betrokken bij diverse muziekprojecten. Een daarvan is de Dave McDonnell Group, die hij zelf zijn post-jazz unit noemt. Op deze cd staan zijn eigen composities en electro-akoestische stukken voor computer en cello. Hij wordt bijgestaan door een aantal uitstekende muzikanten: Chris Welcome (gitaar), Joshua Abrams (bas), Frank Rosaly (drums) en gasten als Jason Adasiewicz, Tomeka Reid en Nate Lepine.
