Adam Schoenberg is onlangs uitgeroepen tot een van de tien meest uitgevoerde levende klassieke componisten in Amerika. Zijn grote droom was altijd om een cd van zijn orkestwerken te hebben. Die droom is nu in vervulling gegaan, met drie werken die zijn ontwikkeling van student tot heden schetsen. Twee daarvan, American Symphony en Picture Studies zijn geschreven in opdracht van het Kansas City Symphony orkest en uitgevoerd o.l.v. Michael Stern.
