Bluesgigant Doug MacLeod schreef voor zijn nieuwste cd elf songs, die hij volgens zijn gebruikelijke procÚdÚ live opnam, zonder overdubs of andere aanpassingen. Hij wordt dit keer bijgestaan door drie zeer ervaren muzikanten: Mike Thompson op piano, Jimi Bott op drums/percussie en Denny Croy op bas. Zijn songs klinken als classics, maar zijn van eigen hand en vaak een tribute aan zijn grote voorbeelden: Louis Jordan, Wes Montgomery, Jerry Reed, Tony Joe White, John Lee Hooker en zelfs wat Duke Ellington. Van de openingstrack Rock It Till The Cows Come Home, een rock&roll-nummer Ó la Louis Jordan, via de briljante instrumental Ridge Runner tot de slow blues van Heavens The Only Place toont MacLeod zijn talent.
