Organ Polychrome: The French School

Het Julia Irene Kauffman Orgel Opus 3875, gebouwd door de gebroeders Casavant Freres, 2011, is ontworpen en gebouwd voor het Kauffman Center in Kansas. Het repertoire van Franse meesterwerken op deze cd is dan ook speciaal uitgezocht om alle kleuren en nuances die dit instrument herbergt, tot uiting te brengen. De organiste is Jan Kraybill, die internationaal grote erkenning heeft. Ze speelt stukken van o.a. Widor, Bonnet en Franck. Verder staat er een wereldpremiÞre op, Florent Schmitts PriÞre (Prelude in G minor). De superieure HDCD-opnames zijn van de Grammy-winnende technicus Keith Johnson. De internationale klassieke pers is uiterst lovend over deze cd: Pure magic (MusicWeb International).
