There's a Time

De Amerikaanse gitarist/zanger Doug MacLeod is een laatbloeier. Hij maakte zijn eerste plaat toen hij 38 was, maar heeft nu al 19 studio-platen en enkele live-albums op zijn naam staan. Doug is een fenomenaal gitarist, die zijn eigen stijl ontwikkelde toen hij sideman was bij o.a. Big Joe Turner en Pee Wee Crayton. Hij heeft als motto never play a note you dont believe, and never write or sing about what you dont know. Hij is dan ook een echte verhalenverteller. Beide aspecten komen weer ruim aan bod op zijn nieuwste cd, een schitterende akoestische plaat met ingetogen songs over alledaagse gebeurtenissen in het leven. In n take opgenomen met bassist Denny Croy en drummer Jimi Bott. Net als al het andere werk van Macleod: een aanrader!
