Eunike Tanzil: The First of Everything

Composer-pianist-producer Eunike Tanzil presents 'Reverie' from her debut album on DG 'The First of Everything'. The project reflects the versatility, sense of freedom and spirit of adventure that are all part of Tanzil's modern take on orchestral music. She tells her musical tales using great stylistic and instrumental variety, from more minimalistic pieces to sweeping, cinematic orchestral statements. Working with orchestrator Max Knoth, Eunike recorded the album in Berlin with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester under the baton of Anna Handler. Tanzil herself performs on piano, celesta, bells and even snare drum, and the recordings also include contributions from DG cellist Sophie Kauer.
