Formed in 1976, the nine-time Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet has become renowned as one of the most dynamic and polished chamber ensembles in the classical music world. Deutsche Grammophon have reissued the ESQ's recordings of the complete Shostakovich 'String Quartets' in a new 5 CD capbox edition.
