Zu absolut herausragender Form läuft der ungarische Maestro freilich mit dem London Symphony Orchestra auf: Tschaikowskys Nußknacker-Ballett serviert er als flüssige Nummernrevue von Klangfarben, Tanzformen und exotischem Kolorit. Ebenso schlüssig gelingt Dorati Bartóks spektakuläres Orchesterkonzert (432 017-2; 04/04). Mit den Orchesterstücken von Schönberg, Webern und Berg liefert er mit größter Hingabe das beste Sammelprogramm der 2. Wiener Schule (432 006-2; 05/04).
