Black Marble and Sweet Fire is an original work of art woven from historic inspirations, traditional instruments, ambient electronics and exotic percussion. The music is rhythm-actuated and the atmosphere is spatially charged, with Khan on Indian sitar, surbahar (bass sitar) and keyboards, Taschner on keyboards and sound design, plus Middle Eastern and North African percussion, contralto and a bit of gentle Urdu poetry.
