Proudly waving the flag of death metal since 1991, Avulsed has earned a reputation as one of the most driven and brutal bands in Spain s extreme music scene. Honing their skills through a series of demos in the early 90 s, Avulsed set their sights on global domination by becoming the first Spanish extreme metal band to land a foreign record deal and unleashed their full-length debut, Eminence in Putrescence in 1996. With a melody-laced and brutal brand of death metal, the name Avulsed spread like hellfire through the underground and soon audiences worldwide were treated to the band s intense live performances. It wasn t just the fans that stood up anhd took notice as two of metal s most respected names, James Murphy and Erik Rutan, have both worked with the band on separate occasions. Having traveled across the globe, touring and playing fests for fans everywhere from America to Russia to Japan, Avulsed has grown into an unstoppable monster and in 2009 the beast is back with Nullo (The Pleasure Of Self-Mutilation). Out in America through Ibex Moon Records, this album takes the band s already famed brutality to the next level.
