After the deaths of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, South Africa's Lucky Dube became arguably the greatest and most popular reggae artist in the world with a string of critically-acclaimed albums that were a rallying cry against apartheid with spectacular performances around the globe. Prisoner is widely regarded as Lucky Dube's greatest album, with its powerful socially-conscious songs such as "War and Crime" and "Prisoner" and inspirational songs such as "Jah Live" and "Remember Me" all held together by Lucky's Peter Tosh-style vocals.
This special 60th Anniversary Edition LP features the artwork of the original South African release, includes two previously unreleased bonus tracks and has a special insert with complete song lyrics and rare photos of Lucky.
