A decade of tunes from the edges of bluegrass. BCH were great innovators in the arranging and performing of traditional American fiddle and dance music, they were well-known and charismatic as individuals, their albums received critical acclaims, classical, jazz, folk and country fans found them refreshing and original. They were veterans of great performances and famous recording sessions. At their best they played with finesse and power and a measure of irony. Byron Berline (fiddle, mandolin), Dan Crary (guitar) and John Hickman (banjo) are all well established as top flight bluegrass musicians.
