The new solo album from the former Phish bassist!A rewarding year and a half of work went into The Green Sparrow. An artist known for his endless creativity and touring stamina, Gordon took 2007 off from touring and dedicated his time to writing this record. His efforts yielded a vibrant new solo album full of accessible songs and unmistakable creations of Gordon's playfully idiosyncratic musical mind. Gordon worked mainly at his home studio in Vermont, but also forayed to New York's Electric Lady Studios for additional recording and Trey Anastasio's rural Vermont studio, The Barn, for mixing.The Green Sparrow features special guests Phish's Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell, Bill Kreutzmann (The Grateful Dead), Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones), Ivan Neville and horn players from Antibalas.
