In 1967, Disperu commissioned trumpeter Tono Reyes to form a band and record an album with a series of songs that reflected the latest tropical music trends, in his own inimitable style. "Mister Boogaloo" combines the influences received from the likes of Mexican drummer Leo Acosta and the emerging Nuyorican boogaloo scene.First time reissue, including its original striking psychedelic artwork and remastered sound.
