In september 1999 gaf de Indiase sitarspeler Kartik Seshadri samen met tablaspeler Arup Chattopadhyay en tampuraspeler Mandoline Whittlesey een concert in Ohio. Met dezeopnames, die van zeer goede kwaliteit zijn, laat Seshadri horen dat hij een uitstekende leerling van Ravi Shankar is. Hij speelt de Raga Bhimpalasi (avond) en Raga Mishra Mand (in Thumri-stijl).
