Vier Songs des bekannten Rhythm'n'Blues-Sängers als 7"-Vinyl im wunderschön gestalteten 4c-Artwork auf El Toro. Der in Lousiana geborene Ollie Shepard (1909-1960) war ein Veteran der Rhythm'n'Blues-Szene, der mit seinen Kentucky Boys 1937 die ersten Aufnahmen für Decca machte, inklusive seines vielgecoverten Erfolges "It's a Low Down Dirty Shame". Sogar zwei Jahrzehnte später wurden seine neuen Songs noch von Okeh während des "Teenage Rock'n'Roll"-Hypes vermarktet. Shepard ist auch für seine deutlich vom Jazz beeinflussten Arrangements bekannt.
