Originally released in 1979, the album was the eleventh studio album from funk rock legends Funkadelic. Striking a more stentorian tone than its ace predecessor 'One Nation Under a Groove' (1978), it's long stood as one of George Clinton and co.'s finest records, featuring the brilliant 'Freak Of The Week' and a near-sixteen-minute version of '(Not Just) Knee Deep', which was the band's last serious hit single.
