De Schotse zanger/gitarist James Grant wordt nog altijd geassocieerd met zijn vroegere band Love and Money. Ondertussen staan er vier solo-cds op zijn naam waarvan I Shot the Albatross (VRTCD 3) een (nog altijd verborgen) aanrader is. Op zijn nieuwe cd staan ook weer prachtige pareltjes en zijn het vooral de up-tempo songs die de aandacht trekken. Grant is een meester-schrijver en een begenadigd zanger die zeker een kans verdient. Voor de liefhebber van zowel Scott Walker en Damien Rice als Richard Thompson of John Martyn een aanrader.
