Awakening

Listening to the twelve tracks (all penned by the leader) is fun. A whole dozen. Undoubtedly a lot of pieces, but they don't tempt Lennart Allkemper to something, which is the problem with many a debut: namely the (understandable) temptation to want to pack everything into it - along the lines of "Listen to how musically diverse I am!" (At this point, it should not go unmentioned that the saxophonist is anything but a purist, has also established himself in the fusion and pop scene, repeatedly appears on TV series like TV total and ZDF Magazin Royale, among others, and toured the country with the well-known German Hip Hop band "Die Fantastischen Vier" in 2022). Even though each composition reveals a different facet and tells a different story, Awakening as a whole is cohesive and homogeneous.
